Our Amenities

Pool

Our private pool and pool house are provided as an amenity for YPHOA members and their guests. The pool opens one week before Memorial Day and closes one week after Labor Day. The pool hours of operation are 9am - 8pm, seven days/week.

Pickleball Courts

Pickleball is more than just a "converted tennis court" at Yachtsman’s Point. The Yachtsman’s Point pickleball program is dynamic and active with:

Training events for new as well as experienced players.
Open court time for players of all levels.
And opportunities for regular organized play.

Come join us at one of our four pickleball courts!

Tennis Court

The Yachtsman’s Point tennis court is open year-round for resident play. All courts were resurfaced in 2020 and are maintained in excellent playing condition.

Bocce Court

The bocce ball set is housed in the storage locker by the pickleball courts. The code to unlock the court gate is on the yphoa.com website under Documents/Recreational Rules/Court Rules and Requirements. To accommodate all ages of players, there are different sets of bocce balls with varying weights. A Bocce rake, broom and yard stick are hanging just inside the gate. Please rake and cover the bocce court after play.

Horseshoes Pit

The horseshoe set is housed in the storage locker by the pickleball courts. The code to unlock the court gate is on the yphoa.com website under Documents/Recreational Rules/Court Rules and Requirements. To accommodate all ages of players, there are different sets of horseshoes with varying weights.

Gazebos

Yachtsman’s Point residents and their guests can enjoy two wonderful gazebos.

A large gazebo is located next to the community pool and bathhouse on Scout Road and overlooks a large pond. It includes ample seating and a large outdoor grill for picnics and social gatherings. It also includes lighting, overhead fans, and electrical outlets.
The second gazebo is located across the street and overlooks the lake and marina. It’s a perfect spot for a small get-together.

Members can reserve the gazebos for family gatherings at no cost.

Boat Storage

Space in the boat storage area can be rented by YPHOA members for a $60 annual fee. It is a locked, fenced area with the primary purpose of providing dedicated space for storing boats, boat trailers, and watercraft.

Boardwalk/Walking Trail

The community has a boardwalk and walking trail connecting the Starboard Reach and Scout sections of the neighborhood. Bikes and golf carts are allowed on the trail. The trail winds through a lovely wooded area that runs alongside Marvin Hedrick Road. A walk or bicycle ride from the end of Scout Road and through the boardwalk to the end of Starboard Reach will give you about a three-mile jaunt.

Ponds and Fountains

Even if you don’t live on a lakefront lot, you can still enjoy the water of Yachtsman’s Point’s four beautiful ponds and fountains. They are located on Scout Road, Spinnaker Road, Admirals Court, and Boardwalk.

Fishing is not allowed in the ponds, with the exception of Spinnaker Lake. Fishing is permitted in Spinnaker Lake during daylight hours only if a property owner is present. Permitted boats on Spinnaker Lake include sail board, sail boats, canoes, row boats, and paddle boats less than 14 feet in length.
