Our Neighborhood
Yachtsman’s Point combines acres of spectacular natural beauty with recreational amenities and friendly neighbors in one amazing lakefront community. Located in Davidson County, just 10 minutes south of historic Lexington, North Carolina, Yachtsman’s Point represents lake living at its finest! In addition to Lexington’s reputation for being the Barbecue Capital of the World, the area is home to a variety of specialty restaurants, local boutiques, parks, music and cultural events, award-winning wineries, and craft breweries.
Our casual residential community includes 230 lots and resembles a small state park with four beautiful ponds and fountains, a lakefront gazebo, a walking trail, and full amenities including tennis, pickleball, swimming pool and bathhouse, boat storage, and a large poolside gazebo and grilling area for entertaining. The neighborhood also includes a privately-owned marina where you can rent a boat slip or launch your boat. It's easy to meet neighbors and make new friends with the variety of outdoor leisure activities, social events, committees, and volunteer activities that Yachtsman’s Point has to offer!
Yachtsman’s Point is operated by its property owners under the Yachtsman’s Point Homeowners’ Association (YPHOA). The community operates much like a small hometown with an elected board and a contracted professional management company (Association Management Group). Its residents share a vision for preserving the natural environment while nurturing great relationships and maintaining property values.
The YPHOA has an active board of directors who are elected to represent the property owners in the governance of the community. A variety of committees organize and manage various aspects of life and leisure within the community and report to the board regularly on progress and potential funding needs.
All Yachtsman’s Point property owners have the opportunity to be as involved as they wish in the running of the community. Annual meetings are held along with many other gatherings and forums for residents to be involved and have input into the governance and operation of their community.
